Sokndal information

Sokndal is the southern most municipalities in Rogaland with 3300 inhabitants. It is situated on
the coast along RV..44/the North Sea Road. The administration centre is Hauge i Dalane with about 2400 inhabitants.

The municipality covers an area of 295 km2 and borders on Eigersund, Lund and Flekkefjord. Our municipality has a 48 km long coast line with seven small fjords that penetrate the country forming natural harbours. From the coast Sokndal rises
inland to moors and summits of 400 to 500 meters above sea level.
